R-410A, a near-azeotropic blend of HFC-32 and HFC-125, is the standard refrigerant in new residential and light commercial air conditioning systems. Known for its excellent energy efficiency and zero ozone depletion potential, R-410A is engineered to deliver superior performance in high-pressure systems, making it the go-to replacement for outdated R-22 systems.
Key Features and Benefits:
✅ Eco-friendly composition: R-410A contains no chlorine, giving it an ODP of 0. It complies with global environmental standards and is safer for the ozone layer compared to legacy refrigerants.
✅ High cooling efficiency: Offers greater energy efficiency and better heat transfer capabilities than R-22, making it ideal for high-performance systems.
✅ Reliable in high-pressure systems: Designed to operate at higher pressures, R-410A supports more compact components and improved system performance.
✅ Widely supported: Compatible with modern HVAC equipment and synthetic lubricants (POE oil), ensuring easy servicing and component availability.

Main Applications
Residential and Commercial HVAC Systems
Commonly used in split-type air conditioners, central A/C units, and packaged rooftop systems for both homes and businesses.
Heat Pumps and Dehumidifiers
Preferred refrigerant for newer high-efficiency heat pump models and air treatment systems requiring reliable climate control.
New Equipment Installations
Widely adopted as the industry standard for systems built post-R-22 phaseout.
Note on Environmental Regulations
While R-410A is ozone-friendly, its GWP is still significant. It is gradually being phased down in favor of next-generation refrigerants with lower environmental impact. For existing equipment, R-410A remains fully legal and essential for maintenance. Always adhere to local refrigerant handling guidelines.

Product Features & Benefits
R-410A is the industry-standard high-pressure refrigerant for modern residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
Post-R-22 Industry Standard
Since the R-22 phaseout, R-410A has become the dominant refrigerant for new equipment. It is supported by virtually every major manufacturer and backed by a full ecosystem of compatible components.
High-Pressure Performance
Engineered to operate at significantly higher pressures than R-22, enabling more compact coil designs, improved heat exchange, and greater overall system efficiency in modern equipment.
Zero Ozone Depletion
Contains no chlorine, giving it an ODP of 0. R-410A complies with global environmental standards and is the legal baseline for servicing newer systems that originally shipped with this refrigerant.
25 LB Professional Cylinder
11.3 kg (25 lb) net weight in a DOT-compliant disposable steel cylinder. Standard valve fitting connects directly to your manifold gauge set for fast, professional charging.
Technical Specifications
Verified lab data you can reference on the job site or submit for compliance audits.
Typical Applications
Confirmed use cases for R-410A. Always consult the equipment nameplate before charging.
Residential Central & Split A/C
The standard charge for post-2010 central air conditioners, ductless mini-splits, and packaged rooftop units from Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, and others.
Heat Pumps & Dehumidifiers
Widely used in high-efficiency heat pump systems and commercial dehumidification equipment requiring reliable performance across wide temperature ranges.
New Construction & Replacements
Essential for new installs and for servicing existing R-410A systems. Do not use in R-22 equipment — the pressures and oils are incompatible without full system conversion.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything contractors and facility managers ask before placing a refrigerant order.
R-410A is only compatible with systems specifically designed for high-pressure refrigerant. It cannot be used in existing R-22 equipment without replacing the compressor, expansion valve, and refrigerant lines — and switching to POE oil. Always check the equipment nameplate and manufacturer manual before charging. If your system originally shipped with R-22, use R-407C for retrofit or replace the system entirely.
Under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act, refrigerants sold for appliance servicing can only be purchased by certified technicians. By checking out, you confirm you hold valid EPA Section 608 Type I, II, III, or Universal certification. We reserve the right to request credential verification before shipment.
Absolutely not. Mixing refrigerants creates unpredictable pressures, reduces system efficiency, contaminates recovery equipment, and violates EPA regulations. If a system has been contaminated, it must be fully recovered, flushed (if applicable), evacuated, and recharged with virgin refrigerant.
All cylinders ship as ORM-D (Other Regulated Materials-Domestic) via FedEx Ground or UPS Ground. Each unit is capped, sealed, wrapped in foam, and double-boxed. We have a 99.2% damage-free delivery rate across 3,400+ shipments.
Unopened cylinders with intact seals can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. We cover return shipping if the item is defective or incorrect. For safety and EPA reasons, we cannot accept returns on opened, partially used, or uncapped cylinders.
Yes. For orders of 6+ cylinders or recurring monthly orders, email wholesale@refronets.us with your EPA card and business license for custom distributor pricing.
We ship from Dallas, TX and Tampa, FL. Continental U.S. delivery is 4–9 business days via ground. Expedited shipping is not available on refrigerant cylinders due to DOT hazmat air freight restrictions.
